Good afternoon, Aimery! I love you and miss you so much. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and that you had a wonderful week! This week has been pretty good for me. I haven’t been working much recently in the off-season. To be honest, being here in Antigua for the summer has been nice, but it probably would have been a better idea to stay in Canada for a bit longer to keep refereeing and such. I really did enjoy the refereeing, and now that I am in law school, I am in a 3-semester system that keeps me away from the gig for a while.
Our car is still broken down, law school is quite busy, and there hasn’t been much work, but life is grand. We have a rental to get us around for now; I feel pretty good about what I am learning, and we sold Zara’s car and are making things work. One day at a time, sweet Jesus.

Speaking of one day at a time, last Sunday we went out to the Dive Bar owned by my bosses and got some yummy paella to celebrate Zara finishing her RYA Radio course and passing her exam! It was delicious, and hopefully we will be able to go out again soon for some yummies, although eating at home is always a good time. Lots of soups and cheesy pastas (there was a great sale on cheese a few weeks ago, and our freezer is full of cheddar!)

I got an artsy gift from ZZ Bird this week as well! I was so happy that I cried when I saw it. The mangoes were really cute as well; I felt so loved. Shells from the beaches we have visited and a heart made of sails. It is so cool that Zara can sew things like these together!

Look at these stylish chair backpacks we got from Nana when she came to visit for her birthday! They are so efficient for any beach trip and have so much storage space! We spent the day at Eden Beach on Friday this week and had a great time relaxing and playing pickleball. The weather was really nice, and we spent a lot of time in the water as well. It was tiring, but a great end to a busy and stressful week. Astoria was in heat this week, and we had a lot of stress taking care of her…
And look at these little piggies on the beach looking for snacks! So adorable! They are always out when we visit, but you never know what kind of piggies you’ll see. Sometimes we see baby piglets and sometimes we see momma pigs and sometimes both! I can’t wait to go back and feed them some more. This week we didn’t have many treats for them, sadly.
Saturday was spent inside studying and watching ZZ play Pokémon; it was a really rainy day, so we didn’t get out much. Sunday was also spent the same way, a nice, relaxing weekend after an interesting week.
This upcoming week should be another good one! Zara will be busy with her Boatmaster 3 course, and I will be busy with school (and hopefully work, haha).
I miss you every day, Aimery. Sending you hugs and love always.
Forever and always,
Dada
