Long week, failed exam, grateful
Happy new week, Aimery. Happy new month as well! I hope you have had a wonderful week. Mine was pretty good. It was VERY busy, but I learned a lot and had an enjoyable time as well. I had my exam on Thursday, which ran from 9 am to 11 pm, and while I didn’t pass, I was very proud of my performance. I will still work towards my Boatmaster 1 even though I failed the Yachmaster Coastal, and one day I will go back and attempt another Yachmaster exam, probably. For now, though, I just need a boatmaster licence to work as a captain in Antigua, so that is my main goal. I plan to be working with the Antigua Scuba School for the foreseeable future, so working on sailing-specific credentials isn’t really that reasonable right now.
Shorter post this week because I didn’t do much aside from prep for the exam, take the exam, and then recover from the exam, but I did get out for a walk yesterday, and went to church with my landlady this morning.
The beach was wonderful today. I feel so blessed that I can just pop over to the beach for a quick dip whenever I want. God is so good!
