Dear Aimery Keith Lewis #22
Always follow your dreams…
I'll have to edit this post again later when I get to my laptop, but for now, I am writing on my phone. This is my view current (from Grenada, outside my Airbnb).
I hope you are doing well Aimery. I miss you every day. I am so grateful for the love I have for you though. No matter what is going on in my life, I can always turn inward, and remind myself of that love. It grows constantly, even though I don't get to see you. I pray for you every day, and I hope that one day we will be able to connect in deeper ways and share love together again. My love for you pushed me to follow my dreams, and I hope that you get to do the same in your life, as you grow.
This past week was a lot of fun. I spent a lot of it diving, getting ready for diving, doing sailing theory to get ready for this upcoming week in Grenada ⛵… it was busy, but wonderful and memorable.
I got my PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification this week, the next step on my way to the goal of being a divemaster. Next I have to do my rescue diver course, and then get about 29 more dives 😅. The course was honestly quite similar to PADI Open Water Diver, but for Advanced we did a night dive! I didn't know what to expect, but it was magical. An entire different world down there at night. I hope we get to dive together one day. I'd love to show you!
Dove with fellow Canadians 🥰, from Ottawa. They were really cool. The woman in the orange was so good at managing her air! Something to aspire to haha, and her mom was diving for the first time to do it with her daughter, super cute. Hopefully Nana and I can dive together one day as well, but Nana has to get used to snorkeling first 😂🙈, we will practice in the pool next summer 🙏🏾.
I'll try and post my diving videos on YouTube along with some sailing videos this month so it's easier to share with you.
I got such an amazing breakfast in town yesterday before my flight to Grenada. I took the bus into town and tried to take another bus to the airport, but they stopped running by noon haha, so I had to take a taxi, but it wasn't too expensive.
We took a little Liat 2020 jet, and we even got snacks on the way to Trinidad (the plane stopped there on the way to Grenada, but we stayed in the plane).
Trinidad looked quite interesting as well.
You can see here the water color difference as the salt water meets the fresh water I think.
They also have a 3 lane highway, which is wild in my opinion, haha. Antigua is so small 😂. I'm not used to such things in the Caribbean, although I suppose Jamaica has a pretty big highway as well, but I barely remember it. I haven't been back there in so long.
It's very pretty here. Being up the hills makes it tiring to walk places, but provides nice views. I'll be walking down the hill to the marina later which should be interesting with these small roads and fast cars, but it should be a fun adventure.
So far so good on the Grenada trip. I don't have my laptop, but I'll still take pics and try and write letters each week as long as I have wifi 🥰🙏🏾. I love you so much Aimery, and to be honest, I hope you are proud me. A lot of what I do is to make you proud. One day I will hopefully be working on a sailing yacht and these sailing courses should help me get there. This week I'll be taking my Day Skipper practical, and after that I'll take my Coastal Skipper here as well. Diving, sailing, and who knows what's next, but I will continue to follow my dreams of being able to be out on (and in) the water daily.
Forever and Always,
Dada 💞
