Dear Aimery Keith Lewis # 18
Apparently I love to dive <3
This week was quite wonderful, but I feel like every week that goes by keeps getting better and better. I guess that is how life is supposed to be. This is a new feeling for me, though, so I am enjoying it quite a bit. I hope that you feel the same way, Aimery. As you get older, and your capacity for life and understanding it grows, I hope you feel as though you are enjoying the life that you get to live more. Generally, life isn’t always full of positive moments, but it seems as though an important lesson to learn is how to be content in all things, regardless of how you feel.
For me, this week was quite wonderful for some specific reasons. I learned to SCUBA dive, I got to race again on Lady B with some friends, and I helped Dogs and Cats of Antigua transport a pup! Learning new things, expanding my knowledge in others, and providing support; how could it not be an amazing week!
DIVING! It started out with a day in the pool doing practical training, then continued with 2 days in the ocean to get the PADI open water diver certificate. One of the friends that I made on the open water dives had an underwater camera with them and shared some great content with me. It is mostly videos, so I will share my favourites. I hope we get to SCUBA dive together one day, it’s a whole other world down there!

Some fun videos:
Me entering the water from the boat.
Hard to see, but there was a nurse shark under there!
My first jellyfish sting. Luckily, these moon jellies don’t hurt that badly, and it’s quite pretty looking up at them.
A ray, feeding in the seagrass.
These little guys are apparently worms!
Haiiii!
And hai again <3
Pufferfish like in Finding Nemo!
Honeycomb Clownfish looked super cool and unique!
Can’t remember what type of eel this was, but it was huge, and a little scared of us…
And for my favourite fish so far, the Parrotfish! They come in so many different colours, this one was pretty, but I saw one that was soooo colourful, it had more colours than the rainbow!
Then some wonderful sailing on Lady B:

I already miss Raffy <3

And I can’t stop thinking about this flower, it is so pretty, I wish I had gotten a sample.
And that was my week! Full of pretty flowers, beautiful fish, lovely people, and adorable puppies. No complaints at all. And now I am back in Canada, so it’s time for a few weeks of hanging out with NaNa <3.
Love you so much, Aimery Lewis. You are my biggest inspiration. Thanks for always pushing me to be the best version of myself that I can be.
Love Dada.
